Message from LA #1

Back in late November, I made a trip to Los Angeles to visit a lot of my close friends. While there, I had the opportunity to visit my Home Gym, Joining All Movement. After one of the Night Open Gym sessions my friends, Andy Le, Brian Le, Noah Fleder, and Devan and Donovan Sheehan, and I went out for dinner at a nearby Pho restaurant. I was able to get an interview from Noah Fleder and Donovan Sheehan at the restaurant. Hope you enjoy their message for Martial Artists and Trickers out there!

1st Birthday back in Oregon

Sunday December 7th was a tough interesting day for me. It was the first birthday back in Oregon, First birthday with new friends, but first birthday away from some of my closest friends in LA. The day started with a breakthrough session here at Aim High. Recently teacher Logan Verzosa pointed out that I've developed my own distinct Tricking style. So the past few sessions have been nothing but playing around with Tricks that I knew. And saving the learning and training away from Aim High.

Without further ado, here's footage from my Birthday Session featuring myself, and students in Advanced Tricking class! Ouss!

Spontaneous LA Trip

If anyone knows me well, they'd know how important my training is to me. Up until recently my focus has strayed away from why I love to train and love to trick. And lately it seemed like my sessions weren't for myself. So what better way to start my self discover than to take a spontaneous trip to LA to see the people that understand exactly what I'm going through!

This trip was exactly what I needed and seeing Le Brothers: Andy and Brian, Noah Fleder, the Sheehan's: Donovan and Devin, and Cassidy Wong. It was awesome to go back to "Home Gym" Joining All Movement (JAM) with Travis Wong and my Tricking Mentor, Daniel Perez de Tajeda.

So much training was done during my trip. The first session was 3 hours of kicking drills with the Le Brothers and Noah Fleder. Then Mongolian BBQ for lunch. Followed by 2 1/2 hours of Kicking and Tricking at JAM. Good way to spend the Thanksgiving weekend and a fresh start to the new me.

Here's a short video of my trip. Enjoy!

A New Start

With the Thanksgiving season around the corner, there will be a lot of re-evaluating yourself. Some preparing their New Years’ Resolution for 2015. Others starting those workouts they've been meaning to do since the beginning of the year and changing their diet to fit those workouts. And for a lot at Aim High Academy of Martial Arts it’s getting the next belt, perfecting techniques, getting a little more flexible day by day, and training hard.

When I first moved back to Oregon in December 2013, I have done a lot of re-evaluating of myself physically and mentally. And this blog is to share with you my experiences and changes I've made to become the strongest version of myself.

As an intro to the blog here is a short sampler of myself, BSBN Cyrus Cross, CGN Nate Pearce, and SBN John Wright Tricking here on the Aim High floor!
