Based on the questions we have been receiving through the “Contact Us” page, we have created a quick user guide to help with the most common challenges users have been facing on the site.
This guide addresses the most frequently asked questions, such as how to add and edit your school listings, how to locate your login information and how to change your password. We hope it helps new users moving forward!

We hear more and more about bullying every day in the media. There are many websites devoted to the anti-bullying movement, which is great, but very few of them are offering step-by-step, easy-to-follow, realistic lesson plans for getting this information into the hands of the children who need it.
No other industry is in a better position to do something about bullying than the martial arts industry. We already are doing a lot to address bullying, even if we don’t try to. The mere act of training in martial arts, and having children develop a higher level of confidence decreases their chances of being bullied in the first place. With that said, we can do a much better job.
Please consider joining hundreds of other martial arts professionals around the world as we take the fight against bullying to the next level. As individual marital artists we make a difference in our community, but as a united movement… we can change the world.

Week Two To-Do List:
- Send an email announcing the event to your current students and parents. To make this easier, we’ve created an email template you can edit and use:
*Be sure to link your Facebook event to the email and invite students and parents to RSVP and share the page with their friends.
- For students who don’t use email or social media, be sure to have an RSVP sign-up sheet at the front desk started this week.
- Post about the event on your social media accounts 1-3 times this week. Here are a few photos you can use for posts this week:
- If you are using Facebook, consider “boosting” the exposure of one of your posts with Facebook advertising. Here’s some advice from the Facebook Ads team on how to do that.
- Continue to promote your program in your school and make an announcement about your event at the end of your classes at least once this week.
Done with Bullying Blueprint for Week 2
Now that you’ve chosen your dates, set up your Facebook event page and put up posters and flyers at your school, this week’s tasks are about getting the word out to make sure everyone becomes aware of the event. If you’ve chosen to spread out your Done with Bullying sessions in October (like we at Kovar’s have done) work on promoting participation in the first session. However, it is important to note that each session begins with a review of what was taught in previous sessions, so if a student can’t make the first class, be sure to communicate that they can start with the second, etc.
The best way to get people talking about your program is to get your current students and staff excited about it. The following tasks are intended to boost internal awareness and conversation about your upcoming event.
The following excerpt is from the Blueprint for Conducting a Done with Bullying Program in in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month (October). If you are interested in participating, this to-do list is designed to keep you on track for your event!
If you are interested in hosting a Done with Bullying event this October in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, this week is a great time to begin pulling everything together to announce your campaign. Depending on what you have planned for Back-to-School, you may want to start talking about your participation in October’s National Bullying Prevention month now.
Since our (Kovar’s) martial arts schools are located on the west coast, the local school year began in the middle of August. If you are located on the east coast with classes beginning after Labor Day, you may wish to push the following tasks off until next week instead. This week will have the most set up tasks, but if you do the work up front it will make the rest of your promotional efforts a breeze!
Week One To-Do List:
- Consider changing your social media cover photos to reflect your participation in National Bullying Prevention Month. We’ve created photos for you to download and use, and the change will catch the attention of your social media followers.
If you have a Back-to-School cover photo that you are not yet ready to change, consider adding a photo as a regular social media post announcing your upcoming participation. We’ve created two you can use:
- After announcing your participation in the program, schedule 1-2 posts this week on your social media pages. Here are a few ideas you can post (with or without a photo) on any social network:
[Name of your school] is proud to announce we’re taking part in National Bullying Prevention month in October.
National Bullying Prevention month is this October. Will you take the pledge with us to end bullying?
This October [Name of your School] is participating in National Bullying Prevention Month, with free anti-bullying classes all month long. Stay tuned…
- Decide which days in October you’ll be offering the Done with Bullying program (if you haven’t already). We’ve decided to host 4 one-hour weekly seminars throughout October. If you decide to host a 4 hour Done with Bullying seminar in one day, or host all four sessions in the same week, we recommend presenting in the order of the Course Outline.
Ideally, try to be as consistent as possible when setting your schedule in order to provide the best opportunity for guests to return each week. You may also decide to host all of your sessions in a single week in October, or host a day camp at your school on a Saturday. These are all effective ways to conduct the Done with Bullying seminar— we have merely opted to spread out our events across the entire month. Once you have decided your schedule, you’ll be able to move on to the next steps.
- If you use Facebook, consider setting up a Facebook event for your Done with Bullying sessions. When you do this, we recommend you fill out as many of the event details as possible. For complete instructions on how to set up an event page on Facebook, check out this Help Guide from the Facebook team. Your event will look even better with its own cover photo:
- This is also the time to start printing and putting out posters and fliers about your event. We’ve created a few easy-to-use templates for you:

As soon as you have posters and flyers in your school promoting the event, you can begin announcing the event to your classes over the next few weeks.
