Though ‘A’ Days are dedicated to basics, forms, and self defense, they most often start with kickboxing. Students should line up for these classes on Mondays and Tuesdays 5 minutes before class starts with hand pads or boxing gloves for the warm up. These are days that students can get valuable repetition on basics and forms under the supervision of qualified and detail oriented instructors, as well as self defense training through a multitude of drills that increase awareness and emphasize an appropriate response.
‘B’ Days are geared toward a sparring application of certain skills including blocking and countering, footwork, kicking, grappling, and more! Students attending these classes should be prepared with hand pads or boxing gloves for beginners and full sparring equipment for intermediate and advanced ranks. Full sparring equipment includes hand and foot pads, shin guards, head gear, chest protector, mouth-piece and groin cup for the boys. This can be purchased or ordered at AHAMA’s front desk
