I will be blogging almost every day to catch up on all of the things that have been going on in my life during this test. This weekend I have gotten to experience a little bit of parenting.... My best friend's eight month old baby stayed with me. It is such a different definition of fun than my usual day to day. The smiles and laughs, going for walks and just forcing a slow down instead of running around like I usually do. It was nice, especially since she slept through the night (which is far from what actual parenting is probably like). It gives me a great appreciation for all parents and how much they do. To be responsible for another human, to make sure they are well taken care of and have their needs met, but even more so, to affect who they grow up to be. How do you instill values and ensure that your child grows up to care for others and have a respectful open heart? I love watching the families of Aim High. They make sacrifices to ensure that their children are in class or other training events. They sit and watch class and support all the members of the team and sometimes even join in. The way that they live the values that we practice at the studio is so impactful on the world around them. They live out our Ethos theme and create a community that I am proud to be a part of.
