FS-Kaelan Reagan Blog 28

Hello Ethos!   Saturday's workout was great! We got to work on some grappling. I got to partner with  BSBN Brandy.I think that she really helped me  to understand the moves that we were learning. Her instructions during how to escape from a full guard by using my hands,not just my head proved very helpful. As we drove home,my Mom and I actually talked about me possibly going to watch a few jiu jitsu classes to see if it was something I may want to try after I achieve my first degree. I'm not sure if I will like it or not,but I think it would be a good idea to go check it out!   We also worked on different techniques for push ups,sit ups,and squats.  We did that three times,in between grappling moves. BSBN Sam reminded us that if we use bad form on our exercises that it was only affecting ourselves. I know I could still go down lower on my push ups,but I think that will come as I build my strength. My Moms actually had KJN add a white strip to my belt as an advanced red. They wouldn't let him give me a black stripe until I consistently showed proper form. Looking back,I know that was a good thing that they did for me.   Thank you for all of your help,BSBN Brandy and thank you for leading an interesting workout, BSBN Sam!    Hope you're all getting a chance to enjoy the Summer  weather while it lasts!       Kaelan
