Finally, I'm getting the blogs from my trips written out and finalized, I've had a list of notes for almost a month now. Anyway, the first place my family and I went to on our trip to Europe was London, primarily for my dad to work. London is definitely one of my favorite cities in the world (that I have visited anyway), and this would be our third trip there. What was great about London was that I got to spend lots of quality time with my mom and my younger sister. Even my dad had a day off to join us on a family day trip to Cambridge. I was really excited to visit Cambridge as it is one of the universities I am considering applying to in the future. The campus was amazing, it mixed the old English architecture with modern needs. We got to spend a couple of hours walking (at least 3 or 4 miles) up and down cobblestone bike roads and touring some of the colleges. It was a great experience and lots of fun! For the rest of our days in London, my mom, sister, and I were able to just relax and enjoy each other's company in a way far different from the hustle and bustle back home. We had lots of fun walking the busy streets, navigating the Underground, and we even took a train out near Newbury for a day. Unfortunately, our hotel did not have a gym for me to go to, however, we walked for a minimum of about 4 hours everyday, so I walked much more than I do in a normal day at home. I also listened to my open form music over and over again on the plane ride and worked on some ideas for finishing it.
