FS- Zoe Ahrendt - Day 1

UK Journal #26

8:15 a.m. ( Ireland Time )

The flight over here was very nice and I sat next to some

very kind ladies whom I shared a laugh or two with. There was Barb ( who was a retired lung therapist nurse ) and Lauren ( an Irish school teacher ). What was amazing about these two ladies was how much they imputed positive energy into this world by helping others almost every day in ways that most people don’t do in their lifetime. Teaching and healing ( I believe ) is the most rewarding thing you can input into this world. Now that I’ve landed I had a chance to change and wash my face which felt amazing after sitting on a dirty plane for 12 hours. Now I’m just waiting for a good friend of my mom’s to pick me up and show me around Ireland a little bit. It definitely beats sitting in the airport for 12 hours ( it was so so so so small anyways ) and from the view of my plane window Ireland looked absolutely beautiful.

4:35 p.m. ( Ireland Time )

I had a wonderful 12 hour visit to Ireland due to my mom’s

friend Joey ( who was so sweet and giving ). She took me to a few old castles that have been around for ages and it was really fascinating to see and actually touch or walk through history. Joey also took me to a really cool huge old church in the center on Shannon. I also had the chance to eat Sheppard’s Pie in Ireland. It. Was. Amazing. I was also introduced to sitting on the ( in America ) drivers side… without the steering wheel. Left side driving was really weird and strange to take in all at once! Ireland was so green and beautiful and in my opinion it was greener than Oregon! After these adventures Joey dropped me off back at the airport and I am now currently waiting at my gate to take my final plane into England! I couldn’t wait to land meet Mieke and sleep.

11:30 p.m. ( England’s Time )

I just arrived at the airport and got picked up by the

lovely Mieke! She and I got to get to know each other through a 60 minute car ride back to Louise’s house where I will be staying. At the moment I’m already at her house. I met her daughter Lauren who was extremely nice and have yet to meet Louise in the morning ( she comes back from work late due to her being a flight attendant ). Sense I didn’t sleep for the past two days I’m crawling into bed now ready to sleep!!
