I've been meaning to blog, as I have a couple of blog entries in my head, but just haven't gotten to it. Which is odd, cause I'm on my phone 24/7 so how hard is it to send an email.. lol
Back in May, I had the opportunity to attend an upper BJJ belt test for a team member, along with a few others, including one testing for their Black Belt in BJJ. Watching one test for their black belt in Jiu jitsu is amazing!!! It's definitely an experience and makes me want to continue in my BJJ journey.
I also got to attend a seminar held by Professor Pedro Sauer and Rylan Lizares. There is always so much info at these seminars that it's hard to take in everything but I try to walk away with at least one or two things to work on. One thing that stood out was a comment that Rylan said... "The right move at the wrong time, is the wrong move". He's right, I don't know how many times I've reacted to something and it didn't work, cause my reaction was not at the right time.. I was not quick enough so it became the wrong move. Ryan's comment can be applied in anything you do, whether you're in class, at school, at work or just out and about... Think about your reaction to a situation and ask your self.. "Is this the right move, at this???"
Oh! And to top the weekend off... I got to hang out and share a car ride with a BJJ legend (Pedro Sauer)!! How often does one get to do that?!
