In a testing year, it's always hard to balance other activities when your life revolves around testing. It's especially hard to balance family time. Testing would have been a much more difficult process if I didn't have the support of my family. I'm not sure I would have made it to testing for third degree. I am lucky that I have such a supportive family. My parents support me in everything that I do, they are always willing to take me to practice, or to practice with me. My younger sister has spent probably two years just being dragged to martial arts events, if you add them all up over the last nine years. My grandparents and my uncle are traveling into town to support me at testing, with is really awesome!
Last night, I was really happy that I the opportunity to participate in one of my sister's activities, since she has to go to so many of mine. We went to FashioNXT in Portland, and I had the chance to support her and her business at the event. It might not have been my typical scene, but I was glad for the invitation to support my sister like she supports me.
